What is a recovery coach
A recovery coach is an NDIS funded worker that has mental health knowledge and lived experience:
A Recovery Coach Will:
1. spend time with you, and people important to you, to get to know you and understand your needs
2. help you to find out about different services and supports, and how these can help you
3. help you get support from mental health services
4. help you better understand the NDIS and support you with the NDIS

You have the option to work with a recovery coach who truly understands what it's like to walk through the ups and downs of mental health challenges because they've lived it themselves.
A recovery coach with lived experience brings more than just training and knowledge they bring heart, empathy, and a deep understanding of what recovery really feels like. They've faced their own struggles, found their way through, and now use that journey to support others.
It’s not about having all the answers it’s about walking beside you, listening without judgment, and helping you build a life that feels meaningful and safe. When someone has been there, they don’t just talk the talk, they get it. And that kind of support can make all the difference.
